Director, Sales and Creative Content – Toronto, ON, CA
Responsibilities Include:
- Lead and oversee a creative video production team to develop commercial campaigns and create in house videos.
- Translate creative brief from marketing and develop campaign
- Lead conceptual planning and manage the writing and production of commercials and video content
- Presenting and selling through ideas to end clients
- Work with marketing to develop and execute creative
- Liaison with business leaders to identify needs, communicate and transfer knowledge to respective departments
- Shoot any elements needed for animations, design elements or
- Create music for any projects where required.
- Communicate workflow and manage delivery for business units
- Understands and facilitates pre-production, production and post-production of an assigned project; and is capable of supervising a production project from creative brief through ideation, storyboard, on set, editing, visual effects and final graphics.
- Works equally well on a team as well as when self-directed. Proven ability to manage multiple projects, be a team player that works well with both internal teams and external clients, and is dedicated to create quality content.
- Works directly with creative teams to recommend solutions and ideas for projects.
- Collaborates with Creative Director and Producer on creative development and post-production on all assigned projects.
- Consults with Producer to estimate and develop scopes of work on selected projects.
- Collaborates with Director of Creative Design to determine design content.
- Maintains proper organization of all projects and files, including but not limited to: archiving, media, exports and masters.
- Stays abreast of new trends in content and technology in the motion graphic and video production communities and suggest new ways to implement these trends/technologies.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in Communications or equivalent.
- Minimum of 10 years TV industry and/or agency experience.
- Management experience supervising employees in a creative environment.
- Excellent negotiating skills.
- Organized business approach to solving problems.
- Knowledge of Canadian production environment.
- Strong creative and strategic mindset.
- Equally proficient in strategy development and execution
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with a wide range of personalities.
- Strong creative, analytical and organizational skills.
- Superior oral and written communication skills.
- Bilingualism in French is an asset.
- Able to function effectively as a member of a management team and work well in a team-oriented environment.
