Chief Operations Officer – Fiji
Main responsibilities:
- Improve operational systems, processes, and policies in support of the organization’s mission
- Looking after the hub revenue reporting teams like Consumer, Marketing, Business Solutions, H&E, MADs and Carriers. Ultimately responsible to delivering the overall hub revenue targets in conjunction with market CEOs.
- Overseeing the business process optimization as well as the procurement team.
- Working with the CFO, oversee long-term budgetary planning and monitoring in alignment with the strategic plan
- Support and advise the Regional CEO, keeping the CEO informed of all critical issues
- Provide effective and inspiring leadership by being actively involved in, and having deep knowledge of, organizations operations.
- Develop a performance culture
- Represent the organization when requested, ensuring proper representation of organizational priorities. Develop and strengthen productive relationships with partners/clients and government relations
- Oversee contract management and legal compliance matters
- Identify essential third-party vendors, negotiate agreements, review contracts, set and monitor expectations, and build strong relationships
Skills, qualifications and experience:
- Degree in Business Administration/ Finance or Commerce
- Minimum of 5 or more year’s leadership experience in a similar role.
- General knowledge of the global marketplace to effectively understand the changing marketing dynamics and its impact on the local market.
- Solid experience in managing budgets.
- Experience of within the telecoms industry is highly recommended.
