Director Marketing Value Proposition – Toronto, ON, Canada

Summary:

      • The successful candidate is responsible for driving development and execution of the ongoing MNO’s wireless value proposition. 
      • This is an exciting time in the MNO’s wireless business and this role will be critical in rebuilding the “Why MNO” wireless value proposition to grow and lead the premium market. 
      • The successful candidate will leverage deep customer insights about our target segments to drive both concept and implementation of proof points to support this proposition.
      • The work environment will be heavily team-based, requiring the individual to work in a collaborative environment. 

What you will be doing:

      • Lead the development and articulation of the “Why MNO” wireless value proposition
      • Drive ongoing customer insights from our “Quality Shopper” segments to drive differentiated products and services that anticipate their needs
      • Prime Market Research studies to understand best practices and technology trends important to identify new revenue streams and segments
      • Prioritize and create roadmap of top concepts to rollout as continued proof points for the value proposition
      • Partner closely with the Product, Pricing, Channel, Brand, Marketing, Digital and Process Improvement and other teams to deliver and promote new initiatives in market
      • Develop strong relationship with the Sr. Director, Marketing Planning and Execution to support both short- and long-term objectives
      • Act as key champion across functions to bring the value proposition to life at all touchpoints
      • Collaborate with Fido and Chatr teams to keep continued clear separation of the value proposition between brands
      • Monitor core KPIs (e.g. subscribers, revenue, value for money scores, LTR) to ensure the value prop is resonating with our target customers
      • Manage and coach direct reports as part of an overall high-performance team

What you have:

      • Undergraduate degree in business or science, MBA preferred
      • 8-10 years’ work experience in marketing, with strong understanding of brand, pricing, research and product
      • Creative, customer centric thinker who can see past barriers
      • Fact based mindset with ability to clearly align ideas to customer insight data and end results
      • Experience leading projects and cross functional teams
      • Excellent communications (written & oral) and interpersonal skills with all levels of the organization
      • Strong presence – confident and comfortable working with senior management
      • Proficient time management capabilities, with the ability to perform multiple tasks and objectives
      • Strong sense of initiative and a self-starter who can work equally well in groups or on their own
      • Results oriented, flexible and willing to work in a multi-task and dynamic work environment
      • Comfort with ambiguity
      • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
